Dietetics
Dietetics in TCM – Healing Nutrition in Harmony with Inner Balance. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, food is far more than just a source of energy – it is considered daily medicine, a finely tuned stimulus for the body's vital forces. Chinese dietetics is understood as a therapeutic approach to maintaining health, regulating imbalances, and supporting recovery in a gentle yet profound way.
The central idea is that every food possesses its own energetic quality: it can have a warming or cooling effect, strengthening or detoxifying, nourishing or stimulating. Taste, too – be it sweet, spicy, bitter, salty, or sour – exerts a specific influence on organs, meridians, and functional systems.
Not only what we eat, but also how we prepare and consume it plays a central role. Gentle cooking, regular meals, and mindful eating are expressions of respect for one's own body and its natural intelligence.
Chinese dietetics is used for functional disorders, chronic fatigue, digestive problems, susceptibility to infection or as part of regeneration processes – always with the aim of promoting inner balance and guiding people back to their center.
Because in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) it is said: "The path to healing begins with what is on the plate every day."
