My career path
I grew up in Belgium and developed an early interest in people's stories – in what motivates, sustains, or burdens them. Topics such as social justice, interpersonal relationships, and societal contexts have always fascinated me. My professional journey began with training as a social worker. During this time, I worked with children with cognitive impairments and autism – a formative experience that showed me early on how multifaceted human development is and how important empathy, patience, and clarity are in interpersonal interactions. As part of my part-time Master's degree in Social Work, I primarily worked in low-threshold social work, supporting women in challenging life situations. This work gave me profound insights into the complex realities and needs of people who often find themselves, by necessity, on the margins of society. Furthermore, I have many years of experience in psychosocial counseling at a victim support center, where I primarily supported women processing experiences of violence and trauma. This responsible work shaped my understanding of rediscovering one's own strength as a holistic process encompassing body, mind, and soul. Through all these encounters, it became increasingly clear to me how closely these levels are interwoven and how profoundly emotional wounds can affect the whole person. This awareness led me to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), whose holistic approach represents a natural extension and deepening of my previous work. Today, as a TCM therapist, I carefully and professionally guide people on their path to greater inner balance and quality of life. My focus is not only on alleviating symptoms but also on recognizing and treating the underlying emotional and energetic causes. It is of central importance to me to offer a protected and trusting environment that best supports healing processes on a physical, emotional and mental level.
