Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a technique in Traditional Chinese Medicine in which dried mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is burned to apply targeted heat to acupuncture points or body regions. This heat stimulation promotes the flow of Qi, releases local blockages, and improves blood circulation.
This heat treatment is often used in conjunction with acupuncture and is particularly effective in treating cold and dampness accumulation in the body, which, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), are considered the cause of various ailments. Moxibustion also supports the strengthening of the immune system and the restoration of energetic balance.
Indications include, among others, chronic pain syndromes, functional disorders and states of general exhaustion.
